The Compassionate Friends – Update

Dear Compassionate Friend:

Despite the recent cold snap, the gradually lengthening days give us hope that Winter is slowly relinquishing it’s grip once again. In a similar way, the winter of our grief will eventually give way to better days. Please join us at one or more of the following events and help to keep those warm thoughts until Spring arrives.

  1. Sharing Circles

Our Sharing Circles continue on the third Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 9pm at The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre, 2730 Carling Avenue (at Richmond Road). There are no fees to attend and no need to register in advance. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in with the facilitators. You can find directions and a map on our website www.tcfottawa.net.

  1. Mid-Winter Social

To help counter the mid-winter blues, Julia Page has graciously offered to host a pot-luck lunch on Sunday, February 19th from 12 to 2pm. Her home is in Britannia which is close to the location of The Olde Forge. The format will be similar to our Summer Social – just bring whatever dish you are able – entrée, starter, side or dessert – to share with the group. To assist with our planning, please reply to this e-mail if you expect to be attending and we will confirm the address.

  1. Website / Facebook

Remember that our Chapter website (www.tcfottawa.net) contains various resources and materials that you may find helpful or interesting, including newsletters from other Chapters and also the National Office. If you would like to include your child on our memorial page, please follow the link on the page to contact our webmaster Mark.

You can also read and post messages on our Facebook page – please look for The Compassionate Friends – Ottawa Chapter.

  1. Unsubscribe

If you wish to be removed from our e-mail list, please reply to this message.

Best wishes,
