A new study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal has found that death rates among our youth doubled in Canada between 2019 and 2021. One in every four deaths among young adults between the ages of 20 and 39 is caused by opioid overdoses.
Founded in Ottawa, Trace the Lace is an organization making progress in influencing law enforcement agencies to hold those accountable for poisoning our loved ones and bringing justice for their deaths. The group was established by Natalie, a parent also active with the Ottawa Chapter of The Compassionate Friends. Janet, another active member, is on the executive.
