Here is a brief reminder of our upcoming events. We look forward to seeing you at one or more of them.
1. Sharing Circles – third Tuesday
Our Sharing Circles continue on the third Tuesday of every month at The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre, 2730 Carling Avenue (at Richmond) from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The next meetings are June 16th, July 21st, August 18th and September 15th. There is no need to register in advance, and there are no fees to attend any of our meetings or activities. 2. Annual General Meeting – Tuesday June 2nd
Our 16th AGM will be held on Tuesday June 2nd at The Olde Forge starting at 6:30pm. This is not a Sharing Circle but an opportunity to see what goes into planning our meetings and events. We are quite informal, so please consider attending and finding out how you could contribute some of your time and talents to helping others on their grief journey. Feel free to bring snacks or finger food to share.
3. Balloon Release – Saturday June 20th
The annual Balloon Release will take place at The Butterfly Garden at CHEO on Saturday, June 20th. Registration is from 1:30 pm and the ceremony will begin at 2 pm. The program features live music by students of Canterbury High School and also the release of live butterflies by the younger children. Please plan to join us for this very moving commemoration.
4. Summer Social – Saturday July 18th
Eileen and I will be hosting our annual pot-luck Summer Social on July 18th. Any bereaved parent is welcome to join us whether or not they have previously attended a Circle meeting or other event. Please mark your calendar – more details nearer the date.
