At Night I Lay in Stillness

At night I lay in stillness, soon slipping off to heaven’s realm
You are coming round a curve, striding tall, I see your grin
Illumination’s purest light radiates your lifelike form
Our eyes meet and souls connect, there’s no need to mourn
Then you turn and off you stride, full of purpose from my sight

I awake and sitting straight, I’ve seen your face made clear to me
In darkness I have been, so many endless days to see
A hint now of something there, life’s renewal, purpose given
As your presence changed my life, so too has your absence
Forever protected not to be, instead a knowing, that’s the key

From the moment I knew you were coming
To the moment you left earth and beyond
I loved you then as I still do now
As deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky.

– Janice Kay Eddy

Sadly missed and loved forever,
Mom & Dad, Shannon, Derek, Abby and Justin
Your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
